David Morales has covered the NYPD and NYC's criminal justice system for over a decade, first at the Daily News and now at NYC Pulse. A South Bronx native, David approaches public safety journalism with both community accountability and institutional scrutiny. He has documented police misconduct cases, covered high-profile trials, and written extensively about NYC's bail reform debates. His work has been cited in City Council hearings and led to multiple policy reviews. He is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
